Masterfully managed by two creative and innovative resident chefs you are delighted each day with the selection that greets you. Each dish is created with thought and love. The East West fusion menu is changed daily but a la carte is also available. Just reading the menu for the day will make your mouth water. Using fresh local produce and the best of international ingredients the chefs turn out an ecletic mix of western delicacies and asian favorites. As far as possible all ingredients are sourced locally in an effort to work with the local community and promote sustainable tourism. Soup is served to you in bread-bowls made of special dough. Colourful and delicate fresh salads may accompany Norwegian smoked salmon, garnished with creamy pineapple; grilled eggplant with roasted tomato and feta; or ginger infused Kandyan beef fillet paired with garlic potato mash and a zesty black pepper sauce. The rose-apple sorbet, cheese-pie with blueberry ice-cream and fruit coulis are just some of the dishes that have earned Theva the repute of being of Michelin star standard. The generous Chefs will also share with you a tip or two on how they create their masterpieces. Home made ice cream, jams and marmalades just complete the personal touch that typifies Theva. The tea-time list includes espresso con-panna, white chocolate caramel latte and multi-flavoured milk-shakes. Whilst you will get a perfect brew of the best Ceylon tea, the Theva Hot chocolate is also a wicked temptation.
