Jungle Beach

Trincomale,  North East

Overview

Hidden within a 10 acre Jungle beach reserve , close to Trincomelee’s famous beaches, this unique resort introduces a sense of lush green fun to a classic beach family holiday.  A short sea plane ride fro Colombo’s International airport, the East coast is idyllic in the summer months when the more popular South and West coasts can be rainy and ‘sea rough’.

Quite remote, this luxurious ‘take’ on tree houses is a far cry from Robinson Crusoe living. Also a welcome change to Trincomelee’s merchant and Dutch influences – The East’s largest shipping port.

‘Trinco’ has its fair share of history; hot springs regularly used on holy days and the famous ‘Lovers Leap’ – a heart felt fable not to be repeated from these extremely high rocks.

Uga escapes’ reputation as a 5 star retreat, pampering, excursions is evident throughout whilst retaining a real sense of local culture and village staff.
